PARK CITY, Utah (Sept 19, 2023) – As an international leader in the luxury travel industry, Stein Collection’s promise to the planet continues to grow well beyond its breathtaking vistas of Utah’s Wasatch Mountains. Through a partnership with Evertreen, an organization that facilitates tree planting in deforested regions around the globe, Stein Collection has committed to having 1,000 trees planted in these vulnerable areas by the end of 2023. This long-term commitment is the latest addition to Stein Collection’s comprehensive sustainability practices and green initiatives.
“We are incredibly proud to partner with Evertreen and join their far-reaching efforts to support reforestation around the world,” said Russ Olsen, CEO of Stein Collection. “Our planet is our most valuable resource, and it is our collective responsibility to care for and restore it. We also invite our guests to consider contributing to our tree planting goals for a cleaner, greener, more sustainable future for us all.”
Stein Collection’s ambitious collaboration with Evertreen aims to combat deforestation and promote habitat protection in 12 countries worldwide. Evertreen’s innovative technological advancements allow organizations and individuals to place planting orders in countries of their choice and monitor the trees’ growth over time via satellite. Not only do these tree planting projects offset Co2 emissions, provide habitats for wildlife, prevent soil erosion, and promote biodiversity, but they also involve local farmers and create livelihoods for people living in extreme poverty by offering them the dignity of employment and the possibility to become transformational agents of global forest restoration.
Guests at any Stein Collection property have the opportunity to donate and add trees to Stein Collection’s growing forest when booking a stay online at steinlodge.com. Visit https://www.steinlodge.com/sustainability to view Stein Collection’s current progress of trees planted, the Co2 offset, the working hours created, and the countries being reforested.
